I finished my Elementary Practicum at Wakefield Forest Elementary School with a terrific Mentor Teacher, Christine Rowader on October14, 2021. The students were amazing and I learned so much. October 15th - 16th, I was at the Virginia Art Educators' Association's Fall conference at gorgeous Virginia Beach. An amazing event with good friends and excellent presentations.
A day of rest and a chance to do laundry before starting my Secondary Practicum at Key Middle School with awesome Mentor Teacher, Justin Gaudenzi. I am thrilled to be learning so much. I am really starting to connect with the students. Middle Schooler crack me up. They are so funny. I only have a few more weeks with them and know already that I will miss them terribly. I have already seen significant growth in so many of them.
Mock interviews at GMU tomorrow, so need to get some sleep. I have a full day with the kids and then the interview. I feel so blest. Being an Art Teacher truly does have to be the Best Job in the World.
